Vote for Mayor Points to Change in New Orleans, from the New York Times.
The run-off between Nagin (the incumbent) and Landrieu isn't for a couple of weeks so things may change, but I agree with the sentiment of the above article - many of the votes cast for other candidates seem to have been intended as votes against Nagin, and as such are likely to go to his opponent in the second round. In other words, he's toast.
(just to clarify - that's my $0.02, rather than that of the team as a whole)
